For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength (Philippians 4:13)

The Apostle Paul faced too many challenges in his entire career as an Apostle of Jesus and some of them were life threatening, with specific reference to the above verse he was referring to financial supernatural strength to do all things, “I know how to live on almost nothing or with everything. I have learned a secret of living in every situation, whether it is with full stomach or empty, with plenty or little (v.12).”

In verse eleven he even indicates that he has learned to be content with what he has. It is surprising that most our Christians today do not get content with what they have, they keep on wanting more in a greedy way just because so and so got it without remembering that our faith and grace is not equal. But in our opening verse, Paul shares a secret to those who want to be abounded with everything, a godly way of getting more. He introduces the Greek word ‘dunamis’ which means the supernatural power or abilities to achieve what is humanly impossible to achieve (Matt.19:26)

It is important to note that as a child of God, everything concerning your life must please God and lack does not please God at all but also at the same time He will allow you to be abased just like Paul so that you may take heed of godly ways to be abounded. Studying God’s word will grant you faith (Rom.10:17) and faith with upsurge your capacity to receive more than customary; your aptitude to receive above normal is “dunamis”. With the possession of dunamis, the sky is the limit because the dunamis supernatural power knows no limit.

Dear Lord Jesus, I repent for having not being content with what I have. I thank you for this revelation of receiving the supernatural power to achieve all things even those that are beyond human comprehension through the Holy Spirit. I declare and I decree that I am having more than enough because I believe that this is your will in the precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ I pray. Amen
