I PRAY THAT YOUR FAITH MAY NOT FAIL

"But I have prayed for you, Simon, that your faith may not fail. And when you have turned back, strengthen your brothers (Luke 22:32)."
There are merely two kinds of faith, one faith is what is called human and the other is biblical faith or Christian faith. Human faith is a natural faith that a human possesses as a result of values and norms that are acquired based on culture or religion. This kind of faith has limitation as it is not a God kind of faith. Christianity is not a religion but the life of Christ in a human form or a relationship between man and God through Christ Jesus.
But the kind of faith that Jesus is referring to in our opening scripture is a God kind of faith. This is the kind of faith that is beyond human abilities. This is the kind of faith that goes beyond every human and spiritual barriers. In (V. 31), Jesus cautions Peter about Satan's strategy to deceive him and sift him out of God's grace like wheat. But He affirms him that, "I have prayed for you that your faith may not fail."
What is applicable to Peter is applicable to me and you. Our Lord has already prayed for us that our faith in God may not fail because of trials and tribulations. Jesus says, " In this world you will suffer many tribulations but cheer up, I have overcome the world (John 16:33). If you want victory in this world, you must be ready for war. For every promotion you desire, expect tribulation. But above all I pray that your faith may not fail. Jesus cares about our ins and out of our lives.
Dear Lord Jesus, I am not asking for any blessing but I am asking for your grace that my faith may not fail in God. Grant me grace to endure all form of sufferings, tribulations and trials in life for I know that they are not meant to destroy me but to prepare me for my promotion in life and for my future coming glory. I declare and decree that my faith believes the impossible; sees the invisible and receives the incredible in Jusus' name. Amen.
